WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT?
The type of data we collect about you includes: Identity Data including your first name, last name, username, address, gender and date of birth. Contact Data including your billing address, delivery address, email address and telephone numbers. Financial Data including bank account and payment card details. TLI does not store any financial data. Transactional Data including details about payments for products or services you have purchased from us. Technical Data including internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type, operating system and platform, as well as your journey through our digital site (such as the links you click on and the searches you make), which videos you have watched, what content you like and share, which push messages you respond to and information collected in any forms you complete. We may also analyse which marketing activity led to your taking specific action on our digital platforms. Profile Data includes your username and password, purchases or orders made by you, your interests, favourites, feedback and survey responses. Usage Data including information about how you use our website, products and services. Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences. We also collect, use and share Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated Data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate your usage data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific website feature.

TLI does not retain credit card details.

We will keep your data for as long as you are an active member /student. If you do not interact with the TLI daily emails for a period of six months, we will stop sending emails to you. If you receive any other publishing from TLI and do not interact with the material for a period of six months, these will no longer be sent to you. All data held by TLI will be anonymised after it has been inactive for a period of twelve months. This means it can no longer be associated with you. Anonymised data is kept indefinitely for research or statistical purposes. We will keep your personal data if there are any legal requirements or if there is an open dispute. You can re-subscribe to TLI at any time, subject to our Terms and Conditions.

Right to access: You have the right to request information about the personal data we hold about you at any time. Contact TLI to receive your personal data via email. Right to portability: Whenever TLI processes your personal data by automated means based on your consent or based on an agreement you have the right to get a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format transferred to you or to another party. This only includes the personal data you have submitted to us. Please contact us if you want this information. Right to rectification: You have the right to request rectification of your personal data if it is incorrect, including the right to have incomplete personal data completed. If you have an account with TLI, you can edit your personal data under your membership / account pages. Right to erasure: You have the right to erase any personal data processed by TLI at any time, except for the following situations: you are suspected of misuse of, or have misused our services within the past four years; where the information is needed in exercise or defence of legal claims; where the information is required to comply with any legal obligations; andany other applicable exemption under Article 17(3) of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 Your right to object to processing based on legitimate interests: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data that is based on TLI’s legitimate interests. TLI will not continue to process your personal data unless we can demonstrate a legitimate basis for the process which overrides your interests and rights or due to legal claims.
HOW CAN YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS?
Cookies are small pieces of information issued by your computer when you enter a website.
